Dr. Omkar Prasad Baidya’s Visionary Work is Now Bridging Science, Morality and Word Peace! Meet Dr. Omkar Prasad Baidya, a Physician, Philosopher, Author and thinker born in Agartala, Tripura, in 1984. He is not only a physician but also a moral thinker and writer who has feeling for suffering humanity. Dr. Omkar Prasad Baidya has done an innovative work in his book “Morality Beyond the Human Brain: Scientific and Philosophical Exploration” where he has introduced a new scientific and philosophical theory on Morality and a mathematical model of morality. According to the author, both morality and immorality are important for struggle for existence and survival of all living organism including human beings in this planet earth. In another book “A Path to World Peace” he has established the role of universal religion and human virtues like compassion, nonviolence, forgiveness in shaping and saving human lives and civilization. According to him, human virtues like compassion, forgiveness and nonviolence can form the three pillars of world peace.
In his book “Universal Ethics and World Peace: My philosophy of life” he has emphasized on the role of universal ethics in establishment of world peace. According to him, universal religion should give importance to development of morality, universal ethics and human virtues to promote peace throughout the world. In his book “Morality beyond human brain” he looks deep into morality and introduced scientific, philosophical, mathematical and biological theory of morality and immorality that are necessary for survival for all living organisms including human beings. According to him, world peace is a function of human morality and human virtues. In his book “Nature and Morality”, he has hypothesized that Mother nature has a morality which can plan the physical laws and natural phenomenon, responsible for stability of world and universe. He also suggested that human morality has huge impact on natures creation, physical world and also all other biological lives. Dr. Baidya’s philosophy is not only limited to his books. He also supports and encourage charities and groups that do humanitarian work in favor of human development, peace and eradication of poverty. His philosophy and work in favor of humanity and morality, can create impact in the society.
Dr. Baidya started his academic journey from Shishu Bihar Higher secondary School, Agartala. He obtained his MBBS degree from Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur and MD from same institute in 2012. He was selected for prestigious ICMR-sponsored Post MD-PhD super-specialty course in 2013, and he was awarded PhD degree from King Georges Medical University, Lucknow, in 2019. Dr. Omkar Prasad Baidya along with his doctoral and postdoctoral training and education in medicine, also did certifications from many universities, academies and societies throughout the world, like Harvard Medical School, John Hopkins Medical School, American College of Cardiology, American College of Gastroenterology, SAGES, Texas Heart Institute and many more. He is also member and fellow of many scientific organizations like European College of Pshychoneuropharmacology, Associate of Rome Foundation etc. He is also a dynamic author! His books cover several important topics like human virtues, morality, universal ethics, existence of God and world peace. Some of his books are “Morality Beyond the Human Brain,” “A Path to World Peace,” “Universal Ethics and World Peace: My Philosophy of Life,” and “Nature and Morality” .
