Amidst the vibrant hustle and bustle of Dwarka Mela 2024, where attendees delighted in various attractions like the Underground Fish Aquarium, exhilarating rides, and savory food stalls, there existed a dedicated group of volunteers fervently spreading the message of peace. For these volunteers, each day presented a new opportunity to engage with festival-goers, sharing the profound wisdom of inner peace advocated by Prem Rawat. Through meaningful conversations and engaging activities, they invited visitors to pause amidst the festivities and reflect on the importance of peace in their lives, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of those they encountered.

These volunteers talk about Peace Education Program, we tried to dig a little deeper into this and found something wonderful.

The Peace Education Program (PEP) was developed by Prem Rawat, a renowned speaker and advocate for peace. PEP aims to help individuals discover inner peace and personal fulfilment, regardless of their background or circumstances. It is not affiliated with any religion or political ideology and is available to people of all ages and walks of life.

The program consists of a series of workshops or sessions where participants explore various themes related to Peace, Appreciation, Inner Strength, Self-awareness, Clarity, Understanding, Dignity, Choice, Hope, and Contentment and the potential for personal transformation. Through multimedia presentations, discussions, and experiential exercises, participants are encouraged to reflect on their own lives and perspectives, leading to a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationship with the world around them.

The Peace Education Program has been implemented in various settings around the world, including schools, prisons, community centres, and corporate environments. It has been instrumental in fostering reconciliation and peacebuilding efforts in a South Africa, nation grappling with a complex history of conflict. Implemented across communities, schools, correctional facilities, and corporate settings, the program provides individuals with tools for cultivating inner peace and promoting positive change. Particularly impactful in post-apartheid reconciliation, it facilitates dialogue and self-reflection, bridging divides and fostering mutual understanding. Integrated into school curricula, it instils values of conflict resolution and empathy in the youth, contributing to a more peaceful society. In correctional facilities, it offers inmates opportunities for rehabilitation and reintegration, aiming to break the cycle of violence and incarceration. Overall, the Peace Education Program serves as a beacon of hope, empowering individuals to overcome adversity and build a brighter future based on principles of peace and understanding.

Talking about India, in 2023, TPRF (The Prem Rawat Foundation) and Galgotias University in Uttar Pradesh signed a 2-year agreement to expand the program to faculty and students of the university. Overall, 16,645 people participated in the program across India.
